The Employer Interim Reconciliation Season ended on 31 October 2013. SARS collected a 6 month PAYE reconciliation from employers during the period 01 September 2013 to 31 October 2013. Employers who failed to complete their interim reconciliations on time, should still submit their data to avoid a non-compliance penalty. A penalty for late submissions may be raised but can be waived if the employer can provide SARS with a good reason not to raise a penalty.
Employers who still need to complete their interim reconciliations can make use of the following channels:
1. If you make use of automated payroll software that can generate the data required in a CSV export, make use of SARS e@syFile to import the data and submit your reconciliation.
2. If you do not make use of automated payroll software and you have more than 20 tax certificates to submit, the data must be captured manually in SARS e@syFile.
3. If you do not make use of automated payroll software and you have less than 20 certificates to submit, you may log into SARS eFiling and capture your submission online.
