Welcome to the Sage Pastel Payroll & HR blog site!

We have come to the realisation (potentially belatedly) that an open forum for discussion and information dissemination, best practice sharing and thought-leadership are a critical part of not only our own understanding of customer, channel partner and end-user requirements, but, also provides an excellent mechanism for extending the Sage Pastel Payroll & HR community interactions.

This blog is an initial experiment to judge both the suitability of the medium for the purposes outlined above as well as to assess the penetration and impact of the content, posts and discussions.

We have specifically chosen an open blog mechanism via WordPress so that no initial registration or sign-up is required and so that posts can be made on-the-fly.

Whilst we accept and understand that an open blog is potentially a dangerous mechanism (both from a profanity and other less than acceptable interference perspective) we will edit and delete posts from this site only when they contravene the normal ethics of blogging or contain completely unrelated information.  All other posts will be shown in their entirety as far as possible.

We have set up categories for Support, Product Feedback, Complaints, Channel, Product Information, Legislative Updates and Industry Information as initial discussion threads.  Please select one of these categories for your initial comments and posts.

In the interim we will endeavour to provide prompt, meaningful and enlightening responses to all questions, problems and suggestions.

    I have been waiting for the new discs from Pastel for my accounting and Payroll system, was told it was posted on the 29th Feb and would be here by the 6th March. still waiting….
    I have tried several times and cannot get an answere as to where the dics are. I am upgrading my pc and need the Provasive 10+ disc to install on the new pc but till date have had no luck in getting this.

    The service is pathetic and i hold on the line for 1hour at a time and still dont get any response.

    I have been asked to renew my licence for the end of afpril 2012 but with this type of service i am thinking twice.

    please you attention to this is very urgent.

    POOR SERVICE! Every time I have a problem I stay on the phone for up to an hour and still can’t get any answers! It’s been this way since I can remember, why don’t you do something about it!?!?

    Hi Chantelle

    I apologise for the frustration you and many other employers have to face this time of the year. During March, April an May each year the entire industry has to go through the year end process which includes a variety of tasks, including closing off the current financial year, preparing your payroll data for reconciliation, applying the new year’s tax rates, getting to grips with any legislative changes and then finally, reconciling and submitting PAYE information to SARS before the May deadline.
    This is the nature of the field we operate in and I can assure you that we try our best to accommodate each and every client’s needs.
    This blog can serve as a very helpful resource during our busiest period. You are welcome to post your problem here and I will supply you with a solution on this open forum – this way other employers who experience the same issues might benefit from your solution as well.

    Please advise on how we go about to get accounting and payroll dics from Pastel to be send to us, we are upgrading our pc and we need these dics to be send to us ASAP.

    U need to have a customer complaints service cause I am one of the many unsatisfied customers of psira my experience with their office in port elizabeth has been utter bullshit and that’s putting it blundly they are really impatient always speaking xhosa as if that’s the official psira language so u stand there waiting for assistant when u do not understand a word they saying so to whom this may concern employ people who are equip to do the job please.
    Dissapointing servives.
